New data from HubSpot shows that companies of all sizes need to be blogging at least 16 or more times every month in order to see some positive results. That’s a lot. Even for us here at Media Wise, and we’re a highly trained team of writers. No wonder businesses struggle with content marketing – it’s labour intensive and it’s exhausting.

But here’s the kicker, it works. Content marketing is a long game, there isn’t always instant gratification, but once you get the ball rolling, content marketing can be your strongest source of lead generation.

The data doesn’t lie:

So the question remains … can you afford not to be producing content at a relatively aggressive pace? And my answer remains the same – if you’re going to produce garbage content for the sake of putting something out there, then don’t bother. The only way to make content marketing truly work for you is to produce useful, interesting content that real people actually want to read, share and engage with.
